Reset your Password

If you have forgotten your password or need to resend another temporary password before your first log in, you can reset it using the following steps:

Single Sign On (SSO)

If your application has an SSO integration with Case IQ, the "Forgot your password?" process for the Case IQ application is not applicable. Please reach out to your System Administrator if you are having trouble logging in.

1. On the Sign In page, click the Forgot your password? link, located below the Sign In button.

2. The Request Password Reset page will be loaded. Enter the email address used for your Case IQ user account and click the Send Verification Email button.Request Password Reset page.

3. Go to your email inbox and find the “Password Reset Requested” email from Case IQ. The “Password Reset Requested” email contains a verification code and a link to the Case IQ "Request Password Reset" page. Copy the verification code, then click the link to load the "Request Password Reset" page.The Password Reset Requested email.

Copying Temporary Codes and Passwords

If you want to copy and paste a verification code or temporary password, make sure to copy only the letters and numbers, not the spaces before or after the password.

4. Paste the verification code you copied from the "Password Reset Requested" email into the "Verification Code" field on the "Request Password Reset" page. Click the Reset Password button.

5. You will receive the following emails from the system. Copy the temporary password in the "New Password" email. Then, click the link to your application in the "Password Generated" email to load the Sign In page.

  1. "Password Generated" email: includes your username and a link to your Case IQ application.Password Generated email.
  2. "New Password" email: contains your temporary, system-generated password.New Password email.
  3. "Password Expiring Soon" email: a reminder that the temporary password will expire in one day, with a link to your account's Security page.Password Expiring Soon email.

6. On the Case IQ Sign In page, enter your username, then paste the temporary password from the "New Password" email in the "Password" field.

7. Click the Sign In button. You will now be able to access your Case IQ application.

The temporary password will expire in one day. See the Change your Password article for detailed steps on creating a new password for your account.
