How can we help?

Create a Profile when Adding a Party

If your application contains common fields between the New Party and New Profile forms, you can quickly create profiles based on the party information you entered after saving a new party (see Add a Party). These records will also be linked in the system.

When you save a New Party form, a pop-up containing the following message will be displayed: “A new party will be created. Would you like to create a new profile?”. Click Yes to proceed with creating a profile using the party information. After clicking Yes, the new party and profile records will be linked.

The connection will be recorded in 3 locations in the application:

1. The party's page: click the link icon beside the party name to see the linked profile.

2. The Profile’s page: the connection will be displayed under the Related Cases tab. The “reason” field will be automatically populated as “Link through Party Creation”.

3. The case's page associated with the party: the link will be displayed on both the Related Profiles sub-tab and the Parties tab.

If you do not want to create a profile immediately after creating the party, you can click No on the confirmation pop-up. A warning banner will be displayed on the Party's page, reading “There is no Profile linked to this party. Click here to create one.” Clicking the here link in the banner creates a profile with the same information as the party record, as in the steps above.

Remove a Link between a Party and Profile

You can unlink a party and profile by deleting the link. On the profile's page, select the case link row on the Related Cases grid, then click the Delete button that appears in the grid header.
