How can we help?

Profiles Overview

Profiles are a standalone record type in Case IQ and can be linked to other records, similar to cases. In addition to associating profiles with cases, you can link profiles to parties or other profiles.

Profiles and parties often contain similar information and you can use a profile record to populate a New Party form and vice versa. As profiles are independent entities that do not need to be linked to another record, your organization can use profiles like a database. Then, you can quickly create a party for a case using the profile. For guidance on creating linked party and profile records, read the following articles: Create a New Profile when Adding a Party and Add a Party: Fill in the New Party Form with a Profile.

A profile record can be used to log information about a person, location, object, or any item your organization needs to track. Profiles can be automatically created and synchronized through an integration with other systems in your organization (such as HRIS, Payroll, etc.) or manually by adding new profile records.

Profiles vs. User Accounts

Adding a profile for a person will not grant them access to Case IQ. A user account must be added by your System Administrator.
