Exclude a User from Automatic Assignment
You can temporarily prevent someone from being automatically selected as a case owner when an investigator is not available to take on new cases. If the investigator is next in an assignment rule's queue, Case IQ will skip them and select the next user. This means you can exclude an investigator from automatic assignment if they are on vacation, taking temporary leave, or have a full caseload. When the investigator is available again, you can easily update their settings to add them back to the assignment queue. To exclude a user from automatic assignment:
1. Navigate to the User Profiles page under the Access tab in Settings. Click the user you want to exclude from automatic assignment.

2. On the user profile's page, click the Edit button.

3. Click the "Exclude from Auto Assignment" toggle.

4. Click the Save button. The user will no longer be assigned cases via assignment rules.
