Start, Rename, or Delete a Chat with Clairia

Clairia, Case IQ's Artificial Intelligence Assistant, can help you review and synthesize case details, so you can focus on investigating cases. You can ask Clairia to retrieve information about a case, summarize the proceedings so far, check your interview notes for bias, or even confirm the next steps in your organization's case management process.
To open Clairia, click the Magic Wand (
) button on a case's or record's page.

Now, you can use a Playbook, or a pre-configured Clairia AI assistant, for a specific investigative task, like generating a case timeline or action plan for next steps. To use a Playbook:
1. Click Select a Playbook at the bottom of the Clairia sidebar.

2. Select the Playbook you want to use.

3. Select one of the Playbook's prompts to get started right away. Alternatively, you can enter your own prompt if you have permissions. Type a question or instructions in the Clairia sidebar, then click the Send button or hit Enter on your keyboard. For tips on writing prompts, see our Getting the Most Out of Clairia article.

4. Clairia will now generate a response for your prompt. It will automatically save your chat and generate a name for it, so you can refer to the conversation later. You can rename a chat in your chat history (see the Rename a Chat section for steps).

To learn more about the Playbook, click Playbook Details at the top of the Clairia sidebar. You will see a description of the Playbook and the instructions it uses to generate content.

You may also be able to chat without a Playbook, depending on your permissions. See our Getting the Most Out of Clairia article for tips on writing prompts.

Start a New Chat
You can start a new chat to keep conversations separate, which is especially helpful when you need to find a specific chat later. To start a new chat:
1. In the Clairia sidebar, click the Menu (
) button.

2. Click Start a New Chat.

3. Clairia will load a new chat, so you can select another Playbook or enter another prompt.
Reference a File in Your Prompt
By default, Clairia may reference any of the case's files that are enabled for AI to generate relevant responses. If you need Clairia to read specific files, enter "@" in the Clairia sidebar to see a list of all the case's files enabled for AI, then select a file. Clairia will now narrow its focus to those files and will not refer to any other documents to generate content. You can reference up to 5 files per chat.
You can select any file attached to the case or in the application's library that has been enabled for AI. See Grant Case IQ's AI Access to Files for details on enabling AI for a file.

See Previous Chats
To refer to your previous chats:
1. In the Clairia sidebar, click the Menu (
) button.

2. Click View Recent Chats.

3. Clairia will load a list of your previous chats. Select a chat to see the full conversation.

Rename a Chat
You can rename your chats to easily find them later. To rename a chat:
1. In the Clairia sidebar, click the Menu (
) button.

2. Click View Recent Chats.

3. Clairia will load a list of your previous chats. Click Rename beside the chat.

4. Enter a new name for the chat (3 to 80 characters), then click the Save button.

Delete a Chat
To delete a chat you no longer need:
1. In the Clairia sidebar, click the Menu (
) button.

2. Click View Recent Chats.

3. Clairia will load a list of your previous chats. Click Delete beside the chat.

4. Click Delete in the "Delete chat" pop-up.
