How to Use Clairia

Clairia  Premium Feature
Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Account Executive to learn more about this feature.

Clairia is Case IQ's Artificial Intelligence Assistant to help you review and synthesize case details. You can ask Clairia to retrieve information about a case, summarize the proceedings so far, or even check your interview notes for bias, so you can focus on investigating and processing cases. We have put together these tips for writing questions and requests for Clairia.

Be Specific

  • The more details you give, the better Clairia can help.
  • Example: “What are the key issues in case #2025-002 involving Judy Watkins’ leave of absence?”

Ask Clear Questions

  • Instead of “I need help with this case,” try:
  • Example: “What are the possible policy violations in this harassment complaint?”

Request a Format

  • You can ask Clairia to structure the answer in a specific way.
  • Example: “Summarize the findings in bullet points” or “Create a timeline of events.”

Add Context First

  • Start with a brief background before asking your question.
  • Example: “The employee has been absent five times without notice. What actions can HR take in this situation?”

Say Who to Answer Like

  • You can ask the assistant to take on a role or viewpoint.
  • Example: “Answer like an HR manager preparing for a disciplinary meeting.”

Ask One Thing at a Time

  • Break up complex requests into smaller steps. You can always start a new chat for another topic.
  • Example: “First, summarize the complaint. Then list possible next steps.”

Ask Follow-up Questions

  • You can keep asking for clarification or more detail.
  • Example: “Can you explain what ‘corrective action’ means in this case?”

Give an Example

  • If you have a preferred format or tone, show what you're looking for.
  • Example: “Write a summary like this: ‘The employee alleges unfair treatment in shift scheduling…’”

Don’t Worry About Being Perfect

  • Even a rough or partial question can get you started.
  • Example: “I’m reviewing a safety complaint and not sure what to focus on, can you help me get started?”
