Manage your Portal's Carousel
Your organization can provide information on its corporate culture and compliance programs directly from your application's portal. System administrators can configure a rotating carousel of images and text to ensure your portal aligns with your organization's branding and build trust with those reporting serious incidents or concerns.
Portal Carousel Examples
You can use a portal carousel to:
- Add more branding to your portal, including logos, graphics, and brand styling.
- Provide more information about specific compliance programs, including health and safety, security, financial, etc.
- Set the tone from the top to affirm your commitment to a safe and ethical workplace.

If there are multiple slides, the carousel will automatically transition to the next slide every 20 seconds. Portal users can also use the manual controls to go to the next or previous slides and pause or resume auto-play.
To review all slides in your portal carousel, select the “Portal Carousel” option on the System tab in Settings.

FAQ
Can I save slides before publishing them?
Yes, you can save slides as inactive, so they will not appear on the portal. When saving a new slide, click the Save as Inactive button on the "Save Slide" pop-up.
Can I preview how the carousel looks on the portal?
Yes, you can preview the carousel on the Portal Carousel page (see Preview the Portal Carousel section of this article). However, when you preview the entire carousel, you will only see slides that are active and set to “Show on External Portal”. You can preview individual slides before activating them from their pages.
Is the Portal Carousel optional?
If you do not have any active slides, the portal carousel will not be shown on you external portal.
How do I manage slides when our organization uses multiple languages?
When you add a slide, it will be in your application's default language. The system will duplicate that content to create a version of that slide in each of your application's other languages. However, the system cannot automatically translate the content, meaning it will still be in the original language. You must edit the slide and update the content for each language. See the Edit a Slide section of this article for instructions on updating a slide's content.
Why can't I activate a slide?
Make sure the slide must has at least one type of content in each of your application's languages before you can activate it. For example, if your application has two languages, English and French, you must add an image, title, description, or footer to a slide in both languages.
