Change Account Settings on Profile Page
On your profile page, you can edit your account details and settings and change your password. In previous versions of Case IQ, you could change your notification preferences from your profile page, but you can now do this from the Notifications page, see Change your Notification Preferences for details.

To navigate to your profile page, click the Profile (
) icon in the topbar, then select "Profile" in the dropdown menu.

Update your Account Information
You can review and edit your account information on your profile page on the Details tab. We have included screenshots from a sample Case IQ application in this article, so you may see more fields on your profile depending on your application's configuration. To edit your account information, click the Edit button on your profile page.

Your profile page will now be in edit mode. Use the text boxes, picklists, radio buttons, and other data input options to update your account information. After making changes to your profile, click the Save button.

You can edit the following standard Case IQ account information. Your profile may contain additional fields, which have been configured for your application.
- Phone Number: your account's phone number to which the system will send SMS notifications if your application is configured to send messages by phone.
- Language: the language in which the Case IQ interface will be displayed for your account.
- Theme: user interface design options, created by your System Administrator.
- Case Capture Redirect Option: the page that will load after you enter a new case (see details on each option in the Case Capture Redirect section below).
- User Default Grid Row Counter: the default number of records to show on each grid page (see Grids for more).
- Signature: create a custom email signature to use when you send an email from the application (see how in the Signature section).
Case Capture Redirect
The Case Capture Redirect option allows you to choose where the system will navigate you to after creating a new case. The default option for user accounts is generally set by your System Administrator. You can select either of the following options in your profile:
- “Route to the Case”: after submitting a new case, your browser will load the page for the newly created case, so you can interact with the case record immediately (see A Case's Page). This option is ideal if you want to continue working on cases right away.
- “Route to the Cases grid”: your browser will open the Cases grid after adding a case, which summarizes all cases in the application (see Cases Grid Page). This option is recommended for users who handle case intake or work on multiple cases simultaneously.
Signature
If you regularly send emails from Case IQ, you can create an email signature template to add to the end of emails (see Send an Email in Case IQ). You can either manually enter a signature or generate it automatically. Case IQ only supports text in signatures, not images. To create an email signature for your account:
1. Click the Edit button on your profile page.

2. The "Signature" text box will now be editable. If you already have an email signature, you can now manually enter it in the "Signature" text box.

Alternatively, you can click the Create Signature button to quickly generate a signature. Your account's “First Name”, “Last Name”, and “Email Address” will be loaded into the “Signature” text box. In the following screenshot, we generated a signature for a sample account, named Julia Murillo:

3. When you have created your signature using either method, click the Save button.

Change your Password
You can change your password from your Case IQ account using the following steps:
1. Click the Profile (
) icon in the topbar. Then, select "Profile" in the dropdown menu.

2. Click the "Security" tab on your profile page.

3. On the Security tab, enter your existing password into the “Enter Your Old Password” text box. If you forgot your password, see the Reset Password article instead.

If this is your first time logging in to Case IQ, use the temporary password you received in the "New Password" email from Case IQ. See an example "New Password" email in the screenshot below.

4. Type a new password into the “Password” text box. Make sure to follow the password requirements below the text box. You will see a green checkmark appear beside each requirement once your password meets the criteria.
5. Retype your new password in the “Confirm Your New Password” text box.

6. Click the Change Password button.
